Children ages 3-5-- Every Monday from 12:30-2:00pm
Starting September 8th— $15 per child — Includes snack and refreshments!

Come and listen to a fun children’s book!

Create a craft relating to the story!

 
Projects include: Pottery painting, wood crafts, Foam crafts, canvas painting, and more!
Books will be as follows:
 
Sept 8th – The Rainbow Fish  
The story follows the beautiful Rainbow Fish, who is covered in colorful shiny scales. Proud and vain, he thinks he is better than all the other fish and will not play with them. When one small fish asks the Rainbow Fish for one of his scales, he rejects him. When he encounters the small fish a second time, the Rainbow Fish gives him one of his precious scales, and is soon surrounded by other fish requesting scales. Eventually, the Rainbow Fish has only one shiny scale left, but he is no longer vain. He spends his days playing happily with the other fish.  
 
Sept 15th – clap Your Hands

Little ones will jump at the chance to join in on this fun book of silly animals and children as they stomp, wiggle, roar, and spin their way through the day, as the rhyming text reinforces important concepts.  
 
Sept 22nd –The Giant Jam Sandwich  
Four million wasps just flew into the town of Itching Down and the pests are relentless! What can be done? Bap the Baker has a crazy idea that just might work…maybe a Giant Jam Sandwich?!?  
 
Sept 29th – How I Became a Pirate  
Jeremy Jacob is building a sand castle when a pirate ship lands nearby. His parents are preoccupied with other chores, so he takes off for an adventure on the high seas to help the men bury their treasure chest. He learns that buccaneers don't bother with manners or bedtimes, which is just fine with him, but it also means no bedtime stories or being tucked in. He tries to teach the pirates to play soccer, at least until the ball gets swallowed by a shark. When a storm hits, forcing the crew to return to shore, Jeremy solves the dilemma of where to bury the treasure-in his own backyard. He even makes it home in time for soccer practice.  
 
Oct 6th – Today I Feel Silly   Today I Feel Silly: And Other Moods That Make My Day
This time, we follow a little girl with curly red hair through 13 different moods, beginning with silly: "Today I feel silly. / Mom says it's the heat. I put rouge on the cat / and gloves on my feet." Of course, silly soon turns to grumpy and mean... to excited... to confused, and so on. Whether she is happy or mad or dancing a solo in jazz, she is always "full of pizzazz," and this book is, too.  
 
Oct 13th – Busy Boats  
Busy Boats (Amazing Machines)
Sail boats, row boats, ferry boats and speedboats: find them all and discover how they work in this fun-filled picture book. Then take a cruise on an ocean liner, crewed by our favorite animal characters, in a jolly rhyming journey.  
 
Oct 20th – The Pumpkin Goblin Makes Friends  
The Pumpkin Goblin Makes Friends
The Pumpkin Goblin Makes Friends is a wonderfully illustrated story about a mean-spirited Pumpkin Goblin who learns to make friends with the help of the town hero, a boy named Fred. Discover the story of the Pumpkin Goblin and turn this Halloween into a fun filled experience!  
 
Oct 27th – The Night Before Halloween

Nov 3rd – 123 USA  
123 USA: A Cool Counting Book (Cool Counting Books)
Count from 1 to 10 with some of America’s most cherished symbols and landmarks in this board book designed for curious children and their parents. The Statue of Liberty, The White House, the bald eagle, apple pie, Uncle Sam’s top hats, and more are all depicted here using amusing illustrations, dazzling colors, and bold, clear design.  
 
Nov 10th –Curious George and the Pizza  
Curious George and the Pizza (.)
Curious George is up to his elbows in dough and trouble as he tries his hand at making pizza. Tony the baker chases him out of his restaurant, and George hides in a truck in the alley. An angry Tony becomes a grateful Tony when George helps him deliver a pizza in a way that only a monkey could.  
 
Nov 17th – 10 Fat Turkeys

”Looky!” says a silly turkey swinging from a vine. Gobble gobble wibble wobble.Whoops! Now there are nine.Girls and boys will gobble up this hilarious story about ten goofy turkeys and their silly antics: swinging from a vine, strutting on a boar, doing a noodle dance, and more!

Sure, Thanksgiving is about pilgrims and history-and turkey, of course!-but most importantly, it's a holiday all about everything that we are thankful for. Cheerful, colorful illustrations accompany the simple text in this celebration of family, friends, and the holiday that brings them all together.
 
 
Dec 1st – Mr. Brown Can Moo, Can You?  
Oh, the wonderful things Mr. Brown can do! In this "Book of Wonderful Noises," Mr. Brown struts his stuff, as he imitates everything from popping corks to horse feet ("pop pop pop pop" and "klopp klopp klopp") while inviting everyone to join him in the fun!
